Lucas Silva forced to retire from Real Madrid.

Real Madrid and Brazilian youngster Lucas Silva who was on the brink of moving to Portuguese side Sporting Lisbon, has been forced to end his career at just 23, after being diagnosed with a serious heart condition.

Silva only signed for Real Madrid in February 2015, (five-and-a-half-year deal), but his time at the Bernabeu has been blighted by his lack of game time, and was even shipped out on loan to French Ligue 1 side Marseille last season.

Silva has only featured 9 times for Madrid ;
8 in La Liga and 1 in the Champions League, failing to find the back of the net once.

He has been capped 4 times for Brazil’s under-21's side, but has failed to earn a full international cap under boss Dunga or Tite.

He spent the early years of his career at Brazilian side Cruzeiro, making 84 appearances over 3 seasons, before his move to Europe.

After a dud spell in Spain, he featured 33 times for Marseille in 2015-16, including 22 league games.
